"Scheggi went on to specify his conception of space through the rigorous structuring of elementary geometric images introduced by superimposing canvases, spatial operations where space is no longer understood as a real and logical place, but as a "field whose essential characteristic is that of transforming forms from pure concepts into spatial concepts" that define space by constituting themselves in it as coordinating elements in our existence".

Germano Celant, 1967
