CANVASES

Paolo Scheggi, "Intersuperficie curva" (Curved Intersurfaces), 1965, red acrylic on three superimposed canvases, 100 x 100 x 6 cm. Private collection.

“Objects are squares and derived from operations on the square. Space is subdivided by rotations of logarithmic spirals, logarithmic parabolas, modular and continuous relationships. … Therefore, the instability of the visuality of the objects themselves, and the becoming of the research, constitute the operative method which, refusing every understanding and attribute of art, tends without naturalistic extractions and animistic instances to a greater cognitive dialectic”.

Paolo Scheggi, 1964
