WORDS AND PERFORMANCE

Paolo Scheggi, "Romanzo di poesia visiva" (Novel of visual poetry), 1962-1965, Typewritten characters on paper, 63 pages. Private collection.

The work consists of 63 typewritten sheets, each of which presents a piece of visual-concrete poetry formed by typographic letters. The central themes are those recurrent in Scheggi's research: time, space, void and full as metaphors of life and death, the word as form and plastic potential.
