Paolo Scheggi and the Milanese art scene of the early 1960s
TheAssociazione Archivio Paolo Scheggi, in pursuit of one of the objectives of its mission, i.e. to promote the study and investigation of the work and life of Paolo Scheggi, invites international researchers and scholars who have obtained a second level academic qualification in art-historical disciplines (old degree, specialised or master's degree or similar academic qualification obtained abroad and declared equivalent to the aforementioned qualifications) to apply for the IN MEMORY OF CRISTINA CASTIGLIONI ROVERSI" AWARD - SECOND EDITION 2022.
The Paolo Scheggi Archive Association announced this Award thanks to the generosity of the group of friends "IN MEMORY OF CRISTINA CASTIGLIONI ROVERSI" who, in order to pay tribute to the passing of the Lady, knowing her love for art and willingness to help the younger generations, wanted to allocate the amount of Euro 700.00 as the total amount to be given to the two best essays signed by scholars willing to engage in analysis and writing on the following theme:
Paolo Scheggi and the Milanese art scene of the early 1960s.
The prize will be divided as follows:
- Prize of Euro 500.00 for the first-place essay;
- Prize of Euro 200.00 For the second-place essay.
There is time until 31 December 2022 to take part in the selections.
The PRIZE "IN MEMORY OF CRISTINA CASTIGLIONI ROVERSI" was launched thanks to the generosity of Mauro Roversi, husband of Mrs. Cristina Castiglioni, who, in order to pay tribute to his wife's passing, knowing her love for art and willingness to help the younger generation, wanted to donate the amount to support young researchers and scholars.

The Paolo Scheggi Association is pleased to announce the outcome of the reading of the abstracts submitted for nomination for the PRIZE "IN MEMORY OF CRISTINA CASTIGLIONI ROVERSI"-Second Edition.
The Judging Committee of the Paolo Scheggi Archive Association evaluated the abstracts of the submitted essays, dedicated to the following topic of Paolo Scheggi's artistic research, as follows: Paolo Scheggi and the Milanese art scene of the early 1960s.
- Abstract selected as first prize winner: Paolo Scheggi and Ugo La Pietra: relationships around the magazine In. Topics and images of design by Carlo Caccamo
- Abstract selected as the runner-up: Paolo Scheggi in Milan, 1961-1965 by Camilla Remondina
The Selection Committee also feels it should mention Martina Beraldo's abstract, for the poetic slant offered by the author.
As per the Prize Rules, Carlo Caccamo's essay will be awarded with payment to the winner of 500.00 Euros and publication of the same essay on the Paolo Scheggi Association website, and Camilla Remondina's essay will be awarded with payment to the winner of 200.00 Euros and publication of the same essay on the Paolo Scheggi Association website.
